El Dorado Rum
So um last Friday I ventured out to the Empire Hotel for some down time aka free liquor. El Dorado rum was sponsoring Overtimes event. By the way boo at overtime because our picture is not on the site as of yet. (shame on you guys) Any who, I'm not much of a Rum aficionado outside of Bacardi I don't know my ass from my front. This rum was spiced, it was really strong. My first drink was a sprite, grenadine and the spiced rum. Which in my head figured it would taste good because of the sweetness but it was lackluster. This might be due to the fact that Empire Hotel's sprite tasted more like seltzer water. Okay, I couldn't even finish this drink halfway. Round two. There were two pre made drinks for the spiced rum. One which had lime juice and ginger beer, which wasn't my cup of tea. The second one which featured bitters, lime juice, beer, sugar and a whole host of other good stuff. I try my luck. To my surprise it tasted really good, almost like a Shandi ginger beer, if you're from the West Indies you already know what that's about. I did a little research about El Dorado and found it it's a product of Guyana (no wonder they mixed bitters with Rum) I'm all for it. For $15.99 I'm with it..

I need to try that
