the ultimate killer:: don't be a rookie, delete your cookies
Everyone was skeptical of the web back in the day. The truth is, it was way harder to hack back then, then it is now. This new program called firesheep is a really simple hacking program that penetrates cookies(memory stored on your computer when you access websites) to allow users of firesheep to log in as YOU. This is dangerous because it can get in the hands of anyone. I always deleted my cookies even thought I use a secure wired network. Many people do not. People have WiFi and don't put passwords on their shit or delete their cookies. My linux browser has a setting where I can delete everything before opening the browser.
so, it's not just social media networks you should be worried about. it's financial institutions and your email which probably holds the passwords to all your shit, so please be cautious!

the programmer is eric butler and I admire his style. his premise is that him putting the pressure on social media networks to fix their http protocols which are usually regarded as too costly and expensive they will have to fix these loop holes now. GOOD GOING ERIC!
If you don't want to wait for the social networks to fix their loop holes, you can protect yourself.
