RIP George Steinbrenner

As a little girl growing up in the city, I used to hate when every Saturday my cartoons would be interrupted by men in uniform equipped with bats. I also understood the importance of baseball, the late and greats. The people who never played but were major players. George Steinbrenner was one of those people. He was the principal executive of the Yankees and our city has suffered a great loss. When my grandfather was alive, George would be the only person he blamed for any Yankee mishaps. Of course the wise ones say death come in threes and he was not the first to be taken from the team as Bob Sheppard past away 4 days ago, the best announcer past away as well. I send my condolences to his family and all those who have had the opportunity to walk in his path. And those soon to be rich bastards aka his family who will take all his bread.
