Manolo Blahnik : not your grandma's shoe
We all know the story of the coveted Manolos. Every girl has to wear them at a dressy event, a gala, a wedding. What about just for fun? The go to shoes for fun are usually Alexander McQueen and CL but now we may have to reconsider those biases. I took a peak at the sketches for SS 2010 shoes, and might I say they were breathtaking. The construction : flawless, the execution? Even better. I just hope these sketches translate into real life..(aka Christian Siriano for payless that were oh so magnifica that were a complete FAIL, well not really but they just weren't what we expected)
Instead of adding in a gem here, something swarvorskied there, Blahnik actually did some real damn architecture to these shoes! I like the fact that they are straying away from their predictable hoo-rah and offering us something that we will love!

Roni! If you met my grandmother you'll luv her... She kills me every time she puts on her heels to go dancing. Lol I guess you can still see me in these heels after 60!

OMG I love that. I wanna be the fly 80 year old with my vintage MJ bag I bought when I was 20 and some choos, blahniks or louboutins OW!!!
