As many of you know, I just turned 21 and so did all of my friends(born in '88 how old is that? old enough :kaneezy). It would not be right if I did not commemorate this milestone in my life by presenting you with the gift guide to alcoholic gift giving; we'll abbreviate to FAA(future alcoholic's anonymous). Firstly as an alcoholic, everyone knows you need an outstanding blender(namely one that crushes ice without blowing up) the Brooklyn Posh pick for this
back to basics blender.. it does just that BASICS, it blends your ice and your drinks and for $19.99, you dare not complain!
Secondly, lets not forget the margarita on the rocks lovers, for that..
how cute-ish is this? You shake, you margarate and the sparkles and glitter shake with you! This is $16 and is also a MAJOR money saver.. Thanks to pottery barn for this!
Third on the list are HELLO shot glasses! Not the ones your friends get you when they go to Florida, I'm talking about real heavy duty shit! You and 5 of your friends have YOUR own shot glass. Courtesy of crate and barrel, buy the whole set for $40.
and what's all the accessory shits without the substance??
My favorite liquors of 2009 are (drumroll please)
you might be asking what's up with these picks, allow me to explain.
Jumbie is definitely the new Malibu. It's stronger better tasting and CHEAPER. and for all my jews ITS KOSHER lol
You can buy one liter for 16.99 and you guys know how much Malibu is.(this is available at the liquor store on Washington and Bergen in Brooklyn I have yet to seen this anywhere else)
My second choice is JC which is the new and improved smooth dark liquor. It comes in three flavors (I only tried one) but the one I did try was delicious. Once again the price is definitely on point, as you can purchase JC for $20.87 for a 750ML bottle..(available everywhere)
And last but certainly not least, White Hennessy has become a personal favorite of mine since June of this year. It's taste is unmatched, it's smoothness is uncanny and this is definitely something you want to wet your throat. EWW. To my understanding White Henny is not a wine it is a cognac, it's just on the lighter side and sooo delicious. Unfortunately it is not sold in the US(at least it's not supposed to be but a little birdie told me the liquor store on Washington avenue and Bergen street in Brooklyn has it every now and then) Also it's not cheap the small bottle retails for $75.00 so this is definitely a great stocking stuffer!
