Karl Lagerfeld.. Blatantly disrespectful
Before I start don't get me wrong, I respect Mr. Lagerfeld for being a style icon for bringing Chanel from the dust to the lime light.. What I don't respect is when designers start speaking. Less talking, more designing especially if what you have to say will upset the general public.
There is a problem with the fashion world in regards to 90lb models and the people perpetuating this image are assholes like Mr. Lagerfeld..
He was interviewed by a German Magazine and said
"These are fat mummies sitting with their bags of crisps in front of the television, saying that thin models are ugly," the Chanel designer tells Focus going on to say that the fashion industry supports "dreams and illusions, and no one wants to see round women." cited from aol news.. see the story here
Is he dead ass?? If any woman who was 5'11 and above weighed 90lbs we would all be round women. Those women are NOT healthy and PLENTY of people want to see round women! MR. Lagerfeld is living in 1970 and needs to get a reality check ASAP!
