I'm pretty sure if you live in the NY area you have heard DOA "death of
auto tune" by of course non other than trendsetter Jay-z. The message is
simple, hip hop is no longer hip hop and he warrants the reason to
autotune. He's not making a direct attack at T-pain despite what fools
believe but is instead addressing the "issue" as a whole.
I personally like the song, and took it for what it was a song. I don't
believe that auto tune is an issue as some people use the device,
rappers started singing and doing all types of unconventional
shit(drake, lil wayne and rock, kanye and whatever his last album was
amongst other artists that well you get the point.
That does not mean I despise auto tune and also does not mean that I
necessarily agree with the messgae.
Any real hip hop head would know the quality of hip hop music began
disseminating with the birth of fluff or candy hip hop. The artists that
make one catchy dance, or chorus you can't get out your head. I
earnestly believe auto-tune ain't have shit to do with it. This shit was
happening long before it.
For all the Jay-z meat riders may I remind you, you have been singing
Ron Browz, You were blaming it on the alcohol and you thought lollipop
was the fucking hottest song of fucking 08. Lets not lose focus here.
Lets not get all crazy because "daddy" said something so everyone feels
like they have to jump on the bandwagon..
Lets all maintain our OWN opinion about this.. and NOT Jay-z's.

First let me start off by clearing my throat.....* cough cough * ok 1) im not a jay z fan in the least ppl ride his dick more than beyonce. 2) I def agree wit u ra boogie in da fact that ppl have been singin all dese songs with autotunes but when big daddy jay do it everyone wants to put it in their away message. Or all the sudden everyone agrees with it. 3) I can say that I like the song minus jay z singing reguardless of the message he's trying to send.
But real talk I think faB could have ripped da shit better ha ha ha! Dat one was for all u jay z fans.
